Situated in the heart of Bardolino, a charming village on the Veronese shore of Lake Garda, Restaurant La Cantinetta takes its name from the history of the suggestive premises that host it.
Born from the restoration of an ancient wine cellar, the restaurant welcomes its guests in an intimate and refined environment, divided into three indoor dining rooms and a large outdoor seating area.
The outdoor tables arranged along the characteristic Via San Martino, immersed in a romantic and typical atmosphere of the old town, provide the ideal setting for open-air lunches and dinners.
True Mediterranean cuisine - The restaurant offers authentic Mediterranean tradition, reinterpreted by the Chef with refined creativity. Between fish specialties — both sea and lake — and grilled meats, our menu follows the rhythm of the seasons to always ensure fresh ingredients and unique pairings.
Selected wines - Our cellar houses a carefully selected collection of about one hundred labels, chosen with passion from the finest local and national wineries.
First Courses
Rich and intense dishes like Spaghetti allo Scoglio and Spaghetti alle Vongole, pillars of seafood cuisine. There is also no shortage of more refined and creamy combinations, such as Paccheri with Scallops, Shrimps and Zucchini or delicate Tagliolini with Salmon and Zucchini, capable of enhancing the sweetness of shellfish and molluscs with a fresh vegetable note. For those seeking home-style flavors, the menu ranges from traditional and comforting Gnocchi alla Sorrentina, with melting mozzarella and fragrant basil, to hearty Bigoli alla Carbonara, a tribute to Venetian tradition (using the typical thick, rough spaghetti) meeting the classic Roman recipe based on guanciale and egg.
The Mussel House
The restaurant offers delicious mussel dishes caught fresh daily, cooked to order by the chef, a master in preparing mussels. The mussels are harvested almost all year round from the Italian seas. Our bowls of mussels are served in generous portions that will fully satisfy your appetite. They are served with toasted garlic bread, a bib, a scented hand wipe, and lots of passion and love in their preparation. You can find a vast assortment of mussels: marinara, calabrese, white wine, gorgonzola, diavola, and provenzale style, all served in characteristic bowls.
Lake Fish
The menu features a dedicated space for the fish traditions of Lake Garda, highlighting local freshwater products. We offer a combination of various typical preparations such as Pike in sauce with polenta, a great classic of Veneto-Garda cuisine, marinated Trout, queen of the Garda waters, and Perch, which offers a white, tender, and very clean tasting meat.
Sea Fish
Despite its lakeside location, La Cantinetta reserves an honorable role for seafood, offering great classics prepared with selected raw materials. This includes Seafood Appetizers with gratin scallops, squid, cuttlefish, octopus, shrimp, smoked fish, tuna, salmon, and swordfish. Rich and fragrant first courses such as the classic Spaghetti allo Scoglio, Spaghetti alle Vongole, and creamed risottos with seafood or with zucchini and shrimp tails. Main courses for those who love the intense flavors of the grill and the open sea, featuring the majestic Mixed Grilled Shellfish with lobster, baby lobster, king prawns, and scampi, or sea bass and sea bream cooked in parchment, baked, or Mediterranean style, alongside traditional and crispy fried squid.
Meat
One of our Chef's specialties is the Beef Tagliata with Amarone della Valpolicella reduction and toasted hazelnuts. The grill at La Cantinetta also offers premium cuts enhanced by impeccable cooking, such as the Grilled Scottona Beef Ribeye, Grilled Beef Fillet, and Grilled "Scottadito" Lamb Chops. The fillet and tagliata are also offered in richer, classic versions designed to bring out the tenderness of scottona and beef, such as Beef Fillet with Green Peppercorn or Porcini Mushrooms, Scottona Tagliata with Rocket and Grana cheese, Chicken Tagliata with French Fries, and Milanese-style Cutlet with French Fries.

The menu ranges from classic traditional pizzas to delicious special variations, enriched with premium ingredients like buffalo mozzarella and flavorful cured meats. Great attention is also paid to modern dietary needs: the pizzeria is indeed renowned for its extraordinary gluten-free pizza, made with a fresh, exceptionally soft and crispy dough.
